Each client is different, and of course I work in the way that suits you best. In my experience however, the best way to proceed is as follows:
Working together- I always, always meet up with potential clients (the whole family, where relevant) for a long chat before any brief or budgets are agreed
- The brief (don’t worry, I’ll put it together as a result of our initial meeting) and costs must be agreed in writing before we commit to each other
- I will manage as much or as little of the project as we agree at the outset
