The Brief

To revitalise the kitchen and dining area in order to increase the value of the property.

The Solution

Taking advice from local estate agents and looking at as many neighbouring properties as possible, we decided that the kitchen / dining-room could be significantly improved without the expense of extending into the side return.

I designed the kitchen and dining area in modern Shaker style, in keeping with the feel of the rest of the house, using budget kitchen units customised with colour, fixtures and fittings. Access to the garden was moved to improve room circulation and let in more light. The whole room was decluttered then personalised with artwork from the clients’ extensive collection.

The result – a room that is a pleasure to use, which has significantly improved the value of the house.
