Spotlight on brilliant East Battersea Interior Design

Every day as I drift down to my interior design studio in SW8, I marvel at the exciting developments going up everywhere…

This is an exciting place to be, with the River Thames and beautiful Battersea Park nearby, and fantastic transport links. The Northern Line Extension to Battersea Power Station opens in 2020 and there’s already a new river bus service, where Battersea residents can take the 08:20 boat and arrive in the City by 08:48!

One of London’s most iconic landmarks, this stunning development of new homes, shops and offices, already has great eateries like Fiume and Mother and No 29.

Most of the apartments with river views are offered as shells – the ideal opportunity to get an interior designer to create your dream space, or a high-end rental apartment. Look for an interior designer who can offer you a turnkey solution (that means full service, right down to equipping the kitchen with teaspoons). So, you can get on with your busy life, safe in the knowledge that you (or your lucky tenants) will be moving in to a beautiful apartment with nothing to do but sit back and enjoy the views!

This is a Taylor Wimpy development, located at the corner of Queenstown Road. It’s huge and really stylishly done, creating a whole new village, with a school, cafes and proper community spirit. I’d advise anyone wanting to live in central London to have a look here. Especially with so many places to eat and drink nearby, such as lovely pub The Mason’s Arms, Boqueria tapas bar and the best Vietnamese lunch in London at Pho Ta (until now my secret)!

I have been to one of the apartments here and can report that the views, the finish and the communal areas are all second to none (no I’m not on commission!). Pull in an interior designer and you’ll soon have a stunning home with incredible views in one of the best locations in London.

It’s rare to be able to find development opportunities in central London nowadays but if you have the experience, this area could be a goldmine. And do look beyond the new towers, I’ve seen faded apartments along the Queenstown Road, with beautiful proportions. Let me know if you are interested, I’m always happy to keep my ear to the ground.
